OREGON UNIVERSITY SYSTEM STANDARD PUBLIC IMPROVEMENT CONTRACT ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS WOMEN'S FIELD UTILITY IMPROVEMENTS The Oregon University System (OUS) is accepting sealed bids for a public improvement project at Procurement and Contract Services, Oregon State University, 644 SW 13th Street, Corvallis, Oregon, until 2:00PM local time, August 7, 2012 for the Women's Field Utility Improvements project located on the campus of Oregon State University, Corvallis, Oregon. The project includes provision of underground utilities to support future development of the field, including replacement/repair of concrete,, asphalt paving, irrigation, landscape, new waterline & fire hydrants, new stormwater & sanitary sewer mainlines and associated manholes. As a result of a prior RFQ, the Owner has pre-qualified three prime contractors to bid this project. The pre-qualified firms will be the only prime contractors permitted to submit bids to the Owner. Those contractors are: Fortis Construction, Pacific Excavation, and Wildish Construction. A mandatory examination of the site and conditions will be made at 10:00AM, July 25, 2012. Bidders shall meet with the Owner's Representative near the entrance to the parking lot West of Fairbanks Hall (near 26th & Jefferson). Attendance will be documented through a sign-in sheet prepared by the Owner's Authorized Representative. Prime bidders who arrive more than 5 minutes after start time of the meeting (as stated in the solicitation and by the Owner's Authorized Representative's watch) or after the discussion portion of the meeting (whichever comes first) shall not be permitted to sign in and will not be permitted to submit a bid on the project. Bids will be opened and publicly read aloud on August 7, 2012 at 2:00PM, local time, at the Property Services Building, 644 SW 13th Street, Corvallis, Oregon in the conference room by the OUS representative or designee. Bids will be received on a lump-sum basis for all of the work. Bid packets may be obtained from Procurement and Contract Services, Oregon State University, 644 SW 13th Street, Corvallis, Oregon (phone number 541-737-9635) only upon deposit of $75.00. Additional sets may be obtained for a non-refundable purchase price of $40.00. Bid packets may be examined at Procurement and Contract Services, as well as at the following locations: Daily Journal of Commerce Plan Center, Portland; Eugene Builders Exchange Corporation, Eugene; Salem Contractors Exchange, Salem; McGraw Hill Construction, Portland; Central Oregon Builders Exchange, Bend; Douglas County Plan Center, Roseburg; Willamette Valley Bid Center, Tangent; Contractor Plan Center, Clackamas, and Reed Construction Data. All bidders must comply with requirements of the prevailing wage law in ORS 279C.800 through ORS 279C.870. All bidders must be registered with the Construction Contractor's Board at the time of bid submission. No bid will be considered unless fully completed in the manner provided in the "Instructions to Bidders" upon the Bid Form provided and accompanied by Bid Security.
